The same with another popular cleaner, Bon Ami.

Are there any Trader Joe's in Canada?

Trying to think of other stuff popular in the U.S., yet not available here... can't think of much else.

I can confirm that there are no Trader Joe's anywhere in Canada. I live near a store called Pirate Joe's which buys stuff from Trader Joe's retail in the states and resells it in Vancouver, largely to American immigrants. It's a whole thing because TJ can't sue them since they have no stores in Canada, but they also try (unsuccessfully) to keep them from buying in the US.

In BC many years ago, we did get milk in bags. Only last a few years. Now it's just cartons and jugs.

I never " got " Trader Joes. Years ago my friend in LA took me to one, I guess trying to impress with the store.
He liked it because they had a lot of imported food items, like Dijon Mustard from France. Huh? It was a Trader Joe label on the mustard with no hint as to who made it in France. I didn't see the point.

Except for some specially made products, everything in that store was available to me in a regular grocery store back home, including a better selection of imported cheeses.

I think a lot of people down here love Trader Joe's because a lot of the stuff is considered to have the high quality and "natural" product I guess you can say of Whole Foods but at a lower cost and a smaller and more easy to navigate store. It might be possible no hint as to who makes the products overseas is done to keep the cost down ? I do hear a lot of the extension brands of snack foods (I.e. the numerous different M&M's available now in the US) aren't too common to get in Canada.

Oh wait, thought of another brand... Max Factor cosmetics. They used to be at all the makeup counters in Canada, just like Maybelline, Revlon, L'Oreal, and other staple brands. But around 10 years ago, they stopped retailing the brand here. Max Factor still exists in the U.S., but products would have to be ordered online to get them in Canada.

It's a rare U.S.-wide brand that isn't available in Canada too.

There are some restaurant chains that are popular in the U.S. but haven't gotten up here yet: White Castle, Jack in the Box. And some that are all over the U.S., but hardly have any franchises up here: IHOP, Olive Garden, and quite a few others.

No Zaxbys! Canada's biggest downside!

Not that Zaxbys is nationwide, or that there is one located near me, but still.

Many of the popular cable channels in America aren't available in Canada such as Showtime for example. Comcast isn't available in Canada either. Not that Canada doesn't have cable TV. They do just that they have their own Canadian companies providing the service.

Being from California, Jack in the Box is one I miss a lot. The nearest one around here is Indiana or Ohio. In n Out is another. I dont miss it religiously like some but its one of those places you dont miss till its gone. I expect British Columbia will see one before it hits the Midwest.

In the reverse I wish Harveys would at least expand to Michigan. I was surprised at the freshness of their fries.
